Retreating Through Georgia

The Atlanta Campaign,

May-September 1864

 5th Company, Washington Battalion, Company A, Pointe Coupee Battalion Artillery; 30th Battalion, 4th, 16th Regiments Infantry

 

Under their new commander, J. E. Johnston, the Acadians in Georgia fight Sherman and his army.  Johnston's replacement, John Bell Hood, nearly destroys the Gray army in front of Atlanta.
