Valsin Castille

The gravesite of Valsin Castille of the 8th Louisiana Infantry in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, Breaux Bridge, LA.  As his service record reveals, this young Confederate was captured four times, released from prisoner of war camps, including Fort Delaware & Point Lookout, four times, and paroled at Appomattox Courthouse, VA, with General Lee's army in April 1865.  The birth & death dates on his UCV grave marker are not his.
